MasterChef 2010 kicked off with the top 50 contestants cooking a BBQ dish of their own choosing.

The contestants each cooked their signature dishes but were judged by their fellow contestants, not the judges. The women tasted the men's dishes and voted for the best three.

The contestants who scored the lowest in the signature dish challenge had to compete and be judged in pairs in an elimination round.

The first challenge was a series of kitchen prep tasks. The final task saw Marion, Daniel, Adele and Courtney cut salmon fillets of the correct weight andtheywere given their Top 24 aprons.

The six contestants who won Top 24 spots cooking against Matt Moran were treated to a Masterclass with him in ARIA's kitchen.

After a mystery box challenge, Matthew, Joanne, Fiona and Callum were through to the Top 24. Jason, Claud, Tony and Jo were sent home.

The Top 24 arrived at the MasterChef house and then headed to the MasterChef kitchen. Thecontestantshad 90 minutes to create a dish thatwas a childhood memory for them.

Alvin cooked off against Luke Nguyen, chef and owner of Red Lantern in Sydney. Theyboth cooked a Vietnamese banquet of three dishes: Hanoi Crisp Parcels; Hue Pancakes and Barramundi which was wrapped and grilled in a lotus leaf.

For their first team challenge, the contestants took over two Italian restaurants in Sydney. The team who made the most money by 9pm won the challengeand it was up to the customers to decide how much they would pay for their meals.

While Devon and Jonathan faced elimination, the red team left to enjoy their reward lunch at Luke Mangan's restaurant, Glass.There was to be three elimination rounds, worth one point each.

Alvin, Adele, Claire and Sharnee headed to Cabramatta for a MasterClass with Luke Nguyen. Gary showed the other contestants how to make his mum's roast beefmeal, with Gary's mum visiting the MasterChef kitchen to demonstrate her Yorkshire pudding recipe.

The mystery box challenge was to create a signature hamburger. Marion won with her "Duck Duck Pig" creation and chose the key ingredient for the Japanese-themedinvention test. Faced with eel, tofu and yellow fin tuna, Marion chose tuna.

Kate, Fiona and Carrie had to recreate a Peter Gilmore dish for the pressure test. Peter also joined the judges when they rated the contestants' attempts at his recipe for poached free range chicken with black truffle and spring vegetables.

Callum cooked off against pastry chef Philippa Sibley. Her dish was a caramel parfait glace with salted peanut caramel and milk chocolate mousse, which Callum had 1 hour and 45minutes to replicate.

Callum was the captain of the blue team and had to choose all his team members in one go. The contestants he didn't pick formed the red team, captained by Dom.

Some of the contestants headed to Sake restaurant to learn how to make agedashi tofu and tuna sushi with chef Shaun Presland.

Skye won the mystery box challenge after cookingcrispy duck with red wine and raspberries. It was an Indian-themed invention test and from the core ingredient options of chicken, goat and pulses, Skye chose goat

Joanne, Dom and Matthew had to make a black forest cake in the pressure test. When he was pitting cherries, Matthew didn't notice a pip went into his bowl of cherries.

Jonathan cooked off against Justin North, chef and owner of Bécasse and Etch restaurants. The dish was roast rack and crisp confit belly of suckling pig, and involved butchering a whole pig.

The blue and red teams had to prepare a three course meal of classic French cooking. Tony Bilson and Michel Roux mentored the teams as they cooked recipes from their cookbooks.

The blue team enjoyed a reward lunch and MasterClass at Pilu at Freshwater. For the first round of the elimination challenge, the red team contestants had 10 minutes to make pesto.

Some of the contestants headed to chef Justin North’s restaurant, Bécasse, to learn how to cook Roast Pork with Charcuterie Jus and Potato Puree.

The Contestants have only 25 minutes to create a mud crab dish, the shortest mystery box ever.

Pressure Test. Bottom 3 have only 45 minutes to make a schnitzel dish, without a recipe. the other contestants watch on.

The contestants must work as a team to create 1 dish, they have 1 hour & 35 minutes. The dishes are scored anonymously by the judges, who have been joined by guest judge Donna Hay.

Each team will have to cook a 3 course meal for a family that they ambush in a COLES supermarket, and will need to take into consideration the families likes and dislikes as they plan their menu.

The team heads off for their reward lunch at Sailors Thai where they will have a private Masterclass with the Ty Bellingham. The bottom 4 face a sudden death taste test elimination challenge.

The contestants assemble at the MCK and are taught by Gary & George today's dishes are, Braised BBQ Ribs, Waldorf Salad, Veal Saltimbocca, White Chocolate Cannelloni with Strawberry Minestrone.

No Mystery box challenge today, it has been replaced with a pizza making challenge. They all need to make their own dough and come up with a creative topping.

In a twist the bottom 3 will not be doing their pressure test in the MasterChef Kitchen, they head to Melbourne where they have to source all of their ingredient from the Queen Victoria Markets.

The winner of the Modern Australian invention test cooks off against Frank Camorra, outside in a back alley of Melbourne. Both will cook Franks Cornetta cornets with chicken liver pate.

It's team challenge day and Marion's extra prize is revealed. The contestants will be relaunching George's restaurant the Press Club, catering to 200 A list guests.

At Domain Chandon the winning team head to the wine cellar for a lovely lunch and wine matching session, the team captain and get to take a scenic helicopter ride over the Yarra valley.

It's MasterClass time and the contestants gather in MCK to be taught by Gary & George today's dishes are, 1) Pizzas 2) Chicken Oyster Kebabs & Baby Vegetable Salad 3) Rice Pudding.

Mystery Box Challenge - Lambs Brains .The Contestants have 45 minutes to create a dish using lambs brains, a few contestants choose not to use the brains, only the top 3 are tasted.

Pressure Test. Bottom 3 face off in the Pressure test. They will all have to make Guest Chef Rick Steins, Seafood Platter. They will only have 2 hours to recreate the dish.

Celeb Chef Challenge - Aaron as winner of Pasta Invention Challenge will cook off against Celeb Chef Maggie Beer. Aaron has to cook a rustic Pheasant Pie.

It's offsite Challenge day and the contestant receive a message from the judges telling them to pick their teams and the meet them at 'Bangaroo' wharf.

The Red Team head off for their reward lunch at Red Lantern. The judges decide they will not be choosing the bottom 3 performers but will be leaving it to contestants to choose.

It's MasterClass time again and the contestants gather in MCK to be taught by George & Matt Moran Spinach Pasta Dough, Potato & Leek Ravioli, Quesadilla, Quail Dolmates, Frangipane Tart.

We're at the half way point in the series and the 12 remaining contestants face the Mystery Box Challenge - Steak & Kidney. They will have 30 minutes to create a dish using the ingredients in the box.

Skye, Callum, Peter & Joanne face the Pressure test, they will all be cooking a George inspired dish, Oyster Terrine. They will all have 3 hours to duplicate the dish.

Adam & Aaron face off in a new challenge. One of them is guaranteed to win an immunity pin. They will be cooking 3 dishes by 3 different celebrity chefs at the same time, in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

In this experimental offsite challenge the contestants gather at Curzon hall, where George splits the contestants down the middle to create the teams.

Blue team face a basic skills test elimination challenge. In round 1 they have 30 minutes to select spices and recreate a chicken korma, they are given all of the ingredients except for the spices.

It's MasterClass time again and the contestants gather in MCK. Today's dishes are ultimate steak sandwich with pommes souffle, stir fried eggplant with homemade chilli sauce, Georges Sensoria Dessert

We're down to the top 10 and Today's Mystery box challenge has been put together by Australia's first MasterChef Julie Goodwin. They will have 30 minutes to put their dish together.

Matthew, Callum & Sharnee face the Pressure test, they will have only 1 hour win no recipe and no ingredients list to create a beef stroganoff.

Celeb Chef Challenge Jonathon as winner of Australian Icon Invention Challenge will cook off against Celeb Chef Josh Emmet. He will have to cook Josh's dish of Fish Fillet wrapped in Chicken.

It's time for another team challenge, Jonathan chooses to be the blue team captain and picks Joanne as opposing red team captain.

The Red team head to their reward lunch at Asiette restaurant while the blue team discover that the entire team is up for elimination. The challenge today is a taste test ' carrot cake'.

It's MasterClass time again and the contestants gather in MCK to be taught by George & Gary, today they are joined by Series 1 MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin.

The final 8 head to the Kitchen for their Mystery Box challenge, only to find that there is not challenge today, instead they open their boxes to reveal that they are heading off to London for the week.

The contestants have a huge challenge today, they head to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire where it is revealed they will cook for iconic Chef Heston Blumenthal.

Celeb Chef Challenge, Marion as winner of Heston Blumenthal Challenge will cook off against Celeb Chef Martin Blunos. This is Marion's chance to try and win another immunity pin.

It's Superchallenge time and the contestants all have to make their way from London to Paris on the Eurostar. They are divided into pairs and each pair is responsible for making their own menu.

Joanne & Jonathan as losers of the Paris Super Challenge face a Pressure Test. They head to The Ledbury restaurant. Today's dish is from an Australian Chef working in London Brett Graham.

Back at the MCK the 7 remaining contestants relax with a Masterclass. Joanne is welcomed back for one last Masterclass, as the London week comes to a close.

The final 7 contestants spend a nice relaxing day at the house while unbeknownst to them 11 of the eliminated contestants return to battle it out for 3 places back into the competition.

The Final 7 wake to a letter telling them to meet the judges for a day of tasting and critiquing at Doltone House.

In a Celebrity Chef challenge with a difference all 10 Contestants compete against Celebrity Chef Mitchell Orr for a coveted immunity pin. All 11 of them will be cooking a Prawn and Saffron Risotto.

What does it take to win the esteemed title of Canada's MasterChef? A group of culinary hopefuls are about to find out in this exciting series.

The Red Team head off for their reward lunch at Bilson's with Tony Bilson while the Blue team head into an elimination challenge back at the kitchen.

It's MasterClass again and the contestants gather in MCK to be taught by George & Gary, Today's dishes are, 1) Adults only eggs Benedict with Hollandaise 2) Mushroom Risotto 3) Gateau Opera

Mystery Box Challenge - Snails, puff pastry, pistachios, white chocolate, garlic, cinnamon sticks, rhubarb, parsley, capsicum. Only the top 3 will be tasted so they all create amazing dishes, proving why they are the top 10.

Pressure Test the Bottom 4 Alvin, Marion, Peter & Aaron face the Pressure test.

Claire faces her first Celebrity Chef Challenge against Adam MelonasThey will both make Green Pea & Egg. Claire will have to use all her skills in this Molecular Gastronomy based dish.

It's time for another offsite team challenge, this week Adam and Claire as the winners of the home style invention test are the team Captains, Blue (Adam, Marion, Jonathan, Aaron) Red (Claire, Callum, Courtney, Alvin, Jimmy) Gary & George arrive at the house and reveal for the challenge they will be cooking for 100 army soldiers

The Red team head of to their reward lunch and Masterclass at Sean's Panaroma. The Blue team wait for their elimination challenge, Adam chooses to hand in his immunity pin and will remain in the competition

It's MasterClass again and the contestants gather in MCK to be taught by George & Gary, they spend some time showing contestants how to identify different cuts of meat.

With only 1 week left until the finals the final 8 have to excel to stay in the competition. In today's Mystery box the prize is bigger than ever.

The bottom 3 from the 7 Deadly Sins invention test Jonathan, Jimmy & Courtney face off in the Pressure test

For the second week in a row Claire faces the Celebrity Chef Challenge, the last one of the series. This time she will cook against Shaun Presland They will both make Tuna Avocado Sushi Maki, Tuna Tataki with Garlic chips and Tuna Sashimi tacos

Instead of a team challenge this week each Contestant will have to cook 5 identical signature dishes for some of their Culinary heroes.

The winners of yesterday Challenge Claire, Courtney, Callum & Adamhead to their reward lunch and private MasterClass at Marque with Mark Best.

After a stressful week the contestants relax knowing they've made it to finals week and enjoy a MasterClass with George & Gary, Today's dishes are 1) Smoked Trout and Winter Salad 2) Grilled Prawns with Tzatziki 3) Layered Chocolate Trifle

It's Finals week and after today 1 contestant will be eliminated each day until there are only 2 people left standing.

The Final 6 will all cook off in a pressure test. The advantage the red team received yesterday is revealed to the other contestants. Adriano Zumbo enters and reveals his dish

The Final 5 have 90mins to cook1 sweet and 1 savoury dish using 12 ingredients in a Mystery Box that Jimmy has chosen in his sneak peak from last night.

Tonight the final 4 have 2.5 hours to come up with a 3 courser meal that they would put in their cook books, They will need to impress the queen of cookbooks , Maggie Beer.

The Final 3 head to Canberra to cook at a funtion for the Governor General. They are each responsible for a course each and have to make alternative gluten free and vegetarian versions of their meals

It's Finale time and the final 2 Adam & Callum will have to compete in 3 rounds to prove that they are worthy of the MasterChef title
