Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds

In his home village near Tarbes, the young D'Artacan dreams of being an expert swordsman and a member of the famous Muskehounds.

On his journey to Paris, D'Artacan is insulted by a man with a black moustache, who then gallops off. The man, subsequently, returns to rob D'Artacan of his letter of introduction.

D'Artacan is unable to get to see M. de Treville without his letter of introduction. Penniless, he has to sleep in the street.

A double of Pontos is seen robbing ladies in the street. However, the real Pontos is shown innocent when his friend Amis produces the double, who is promptly shot by Widimer.

D'Artacan manages to offend each of the Three Muskehounds in turn. He has to fight a duel against each of them, but the first duel is broken up by Widimer and the guards.

D'Artacan is now an apprentice Muskehound, and sees at first hand the bitter rivalry between the Muskehounds and Richelieu's Guards, which even explodes at a meeting with the King.

Juliet is chosen by the Queen for a very delicate mission, to take the English politician, the Duke of Buckingham, to the Royal Palace.

Rochefort tells Juliet's uncle that she will not be harmed unless anyone tries to find her. D'Artacan gets very near to where she is being held prisoner.

Richelieu's men cannot persuade Juliet to disclose what her mission is, but when she escapes, Rochefort follows her, believing that she will lead him to Buckingham.

Richelieu turns to Milday in a bid to prevent the meeting between the Queen and Buckingham. Milday uses her charms to hypnotise D'Artacan, and then orders him to kill the Queen.

D'Artacan learns a little of Juliet's secret mission. They are then separated again by one of Milday's tricks.

Richelieu is determined to find and capture Juliet again. He succeeds, but her whereabouts are soon disclosed to D'Artacan by Pom, a mouse who usually lives with Juliet's uncle.

Rochefort and his men do everything they can to try to recapture the two fugitives, and to prevent Buckingham from meeting the Queen.

D'Artacan makes sure that Buckingham has his audience with the Queen. The Queen wants to prevent war between France, Spain and England.

When D'Artacan shows off his new dagger to Pom, he is robbed of it by Milday. His friends find out that she is one of Richelieu's agents.

Despite the efforts of Richelieu's men to stop him, D'Artacan and Pom, with the help of the Three Muskehounds, succeed in taking a boat to London.

D'Artacan and Buckingham set off in pursuit of Milday. Milday cuts down their sails, but they catch up with her and recover the necklace.

When D'Artacan duly presents himself before the King to be proclaimed a Muskehound, there are objections from Richelieu and the injured Widimer.

The notorious Blue Hawk gang of jewel thieves is reputed to be in France. A gipsy tells Widimer that half of the map is hidden behind a mirror.
